Taiwan: Energy
Asia Cement has set its energy management target using 2019 as the base year, aiming to reduce both total energy consumption and energy intensity by 1% annually. The company continues to promote improvements in energy efficiency and low-carbon transformation. In 2024, total energy consumption reached 11,706 TJ (equivalent to 3,251,441MWh), with energy intensity reduced by 5.9% compared to the base year, achieving the annual reduction target and demonstrating the effectiveness of its energy-saving management.

Energy Demand Management Plan
Asia Cement Corporation has implemented an demand-side management program within its manufacturing plant areas by participating in Taiwan Power Company's demand bidding measures. When Taiwan Power Company anticipates a potential shortfall in electricity supply during peak demand periods, they initiate demand bidding measures. These measures involve reducing peak electricity loads in exchange for electricity cost reductions. Participation in demand bidding measures falls under load-shifting management, contributing to grid stability. From 2016 to 2024, Asia Cement has cumulatively reduced its electricity consumption by a total of 12.26 million kWh and obtained a total electricity cost reduction of NT$127.3million.
Use of Clean Energy: Renewable energy generation or transfer
Asia Cement Corporation (ACC) and its subsidiaries, in support of government green-energy policy, completed multiple solar PV installations in Q4 2023, reaching a self-consumption capacity of ≥3.7 MWp. In 2024, the total annual renewable energy generation, including both self-use and transferred power, reached 4.623 million kWh.
