Energy Demand Management Plan
Asia Cement Corporation has implemented an demand-side management program within its manufacturing plant areas by participating in Taiwan Power Company's demand bidding measures. When Taiwan Power Company anticipates a potential shortfall in electricity supply during peak demand periods, they initiate demand bidding measures. These measures involve reducing peak electricity loads in exchange for electricity cost reductions. Participation in demand bidding measures falls under load-shifting management, contributing to grid stability. From 2016 to 2023, Asia Cement has cumulatively reduced its electricity consumption by a total of 12.15 million kWh and obtained a total electricity cost reduction of NT$126.28 million.
