In the beginning of building the plants, Asia Cement and its subsidiaries always perform community impact evaluation, realize community engagement, and promote community development programs in order to fulfill the mission of social care by becoming “the preferred partner of developing sustainable green homeland”.

Asia Cement is striving to maintain a high level of safety in its mines, preventing any potential or actual adverse effects on nearby communities. Having engaged with local communities and completed tribal consultation procedures, Asia Cement implements a benefit-sharing mechanism as a good neighbor, so as to thrive together with the tribes.Asia Cement has set up a local community engagement and feedback system at its manufacturing plant. This involves using Asia Cement Service Center, GA and management departments to receive and address residents' feedback through relevant measures.

100% Community Communication and Grievance Channels 

ACC values its community stakeholders and has established complaint mechanisms or community group communication channels for different sites. Dedicated units have been set up to manage operations in major operational sites. The main impacted operational sites of the Company are: “Hualien Xincheng mountain Quarry” and “ChiaHui Power”. ACC has established an ACC Service Center at the Xincheng mountain Quarry in Hualien as a contact point for receiving applications and complaints from local communities. We investigate the opinions of local residents through questionnaires every year. Additionally, ACC’s important subsidiary, ChiaHui Power, has set up the “Electricity Development Assistance Fund Management Committee” to communicate regularly with the community. The relevant departments formulate corresponding measures based on various opinions and respond to community needs.

Community relations management involves the Company's cooperative partnership with community leaders and stakeholders. ACC and stakeholders jointly design and implement a community engagement plan. Plant employees play important roles in community negotiation meetings and communication sessions, jointly developing tailored Community Engagement Plans (CEPs) to meet the specific needs and expectations of stakeholders. The Community Engagement Plan (CEP) includes: Local community development planning, sponsorship from local philanthropic foundations or organizations, and local community development services. In 2023, the Community Engagement Plan (CEP) covered 100% of the main operational sites.
