This involves using Asia Cement Service Center, GA and management departments to receive and address residents' feedback through relevant measures.

Serving the Local Community for a Comprehensive Improvement
In recent years Asia Cement takes the responsibilities of caring for beach, windbreak, road lamps, road trees, parks, phoenix trees on Tai #9 provincial road, Tai #3 romantic provincial road, to deepen dedication towards this area.
- ACC’s Hualien Plant adopted the windbreak protection forest No. 2617 in Shun’an Village Xincheng Township, Hualien. The area covers over 43 hectares and assists in cleaning up the beach on the southern bank of the Shun’an fishing ground (approximately 1 kilometer long and 20 meters wide). ACC maintained the windbreak forests 12 times and conducted 12 beach cleanups.
- ACC’s Hualien Plant inspected and dredged the drainage facilities in the tribal areas based on the weather forecast from the Central Weather Administration or actual weather conditions. After the disasters, larger excavators are deployed as needed to remove fallen trees and restore smooth traffic flow.
- ACC’s Hualien Plant assisted in the maintenance of the landscape along the Hualien County Avenue No. 5 in Xincheng Township, totaling approximately 1 kilometer.
- ACC’s Hualien Plant received the "2022 Clean Air Quality Area Adoption - Service Model Award" from the Ministry of Environment.
- Since 2003, ACC’s Hsinchu Plant has participated in the road adoption program organized by Hsinchu County Government, assisting Hengshan Township Office in maintaining the cleanliness of Provincial Highway No. 3 and contributing to the beautification of the Taiwan Romantic Route 3.
- Ya Tung Ready-mixed Concrete attaches great importance to wetland conservation and has held 7 sessions of wetland environmental protection activities.

Asia Cement Provides Social Support in Hualien
Following the 0403 Earthquake
After the 0403 earthquake, Asia Cement assisted with evacuating tourists from affected areas, supported the distribution of relief supplies, provided water trucks and equipment, and helped assess landslide sites and post-disaster reconstruction needs. The Company also supplied seedlings for vegetation restoration, earning a certificate of appreciation from the Hualien County Government for its efforts in the “0403 Hualien Earthquake Disaster Prevention and Relief Work.”Subsequently, when typhoons caused roadside slope collapses in Xiulin Township, the township office requested Asia Cement’s assistance. The Company stabilized the slopes and restored vegetation using a soil-bag stacking method, for which it received recognition from the Xiulin Township Office of Hualien County for its “Slope Restoration Works.”In July 2024, Asia Cement formally signed a Disaster Prevention and Emergency Mutual Support Agreement with the Xiulin Township Office to strengthen future collaboration.

Industry-Academia Practice in the Cement Industry Chain
Asia Cement and its subsidiary Ya Tung Ready-Mixed Concrete have long welcomed academic groups to visit and learn about industry processes and technological practices. They also donate cement, coarse sand, and concrete for student experiments in classrooms, giving back to campuses and society through knowledge transfer.
- Ya Tung Ready-Mixed Concrete organizes visits for nearby schools to its plants to help students adapt early to the workplace and plan their career paths, explaining the latest concrete technologies. In 2024, six schools and a total of 357 students participated. The company also provided concrete materials for school experiments, enhancing the quality of talent in the construction industry through industry-academia exchanges.
- Asia Cement’s Hualien Plant and Xincheng mountain Quarry are open to applications for visits from industry and academia. Topics include quarry geology, natural resources and the environment, materials and resources engineering, as well as understanding the company’s communication, benefitsharing, and FPIC implementation processes with tribal communities. In 2024, there were a total of 26 visits with 502 participants

Assistance in Local Construction of Medical and Educational Infrastructure
Mr. Y. Z. Hsu, the founder of the Far Eastern Group and ACC, adheres to the philosophy of “taking from society, giving back to society”. He has established public welfare initiatives using the resources of the Group to contribute to the education, culture, arts, healthcare, and technology fields, giving back to society. Fostering Green Talent to Strengthen Momentum for Sustainable Transformation
In the face of global challenges related to sustainable transformation and net-zero emissions, businesses increasingly require talent with ESG and green energy expertise. To support companies in developing core sustainability competencies, Asia Cement’s affiliate, Yuan Ze University, collaborated with the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, to establish
the “ESG Sustainability and Green Energy Technology Talent Development Hub.” This initiative is dedicated to cultivating green-collar professionals with practical skills in carbon reduction, sustainability management, and green innovation. Through this collaboration, Yuan Ze University further advances the integration of higher education and industry, deepens its social responsibility, and demonstrates tangible contributions to promoting Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), injecting long-term momentum into Taiwan’s sustainable talent development.
